Ask which question an assessment is intended to answer and why it is appropriate for your circumstances. A long list of investigations can look impressive while making it harder to see the purpose of each one.
Who interprets the result?
Identify the professional responsible for interpretation and their qualifications. Ask when you will discuss results, how uncertain findings are explained and whether reports can be shared with your usual clinician with your permission.
What happens next?
Some findings may require follow-up beyond the retreat’s scope. Ask how referrals are arranged, whether external appointments cost extra and who is responsible for unfinished investigations after departure.
What are the limits?
An assessment is a snapshot and does not answer every health question. Discuss what the chosen tests can and cannot establish. Do not assume a favourable score or biomarker result guarantees future health.
What is included?
The quote should identify assessments, consultations, interpretation and written reports. At a private programme such as SENSES, services are selected individually; not every advertised investigation is automatically part of every stay.
